Overflow swimming pools are also known as deck level pools, the pool water overflows the edge of pool into a channel around the perimeter. The overflow channel is usually covered with some kind of grating although there are other techniques such as a slot channels. Below is a selection of overflow swimming pools we have completed.
As part of an extensive semi-underground extension, the client commissioned Brookforge to design and build an insulated deck level swimming pool using ICF panels.
Brookforge worked with the client to adapt initial architect schematics and added all the pool specialist details and added features like stainless steel fittings, fibre optic lighting, illuminated water arches, automatic Besgo backwash valves automatic pool dosing and a custom automatic slatted cover.
This project is nearing handover stage. Pics to follow >>>

The owner has designed a modern, sedum roofed structure hidden within the hillside to house a 16m deck level swimming pool and deck level spa.
Brookforge were appointed to design and build an insulated pool and spa onto a pre-formed pool base. Brookforge have designed all pool hydraulics and will install all of the plantroom. Our 3rd party partners are designing and installing the H&V ducting. The project is in progress with the concrete walls poured. More info to follow >>>>
Working along side high-end developers Huntsmere Projects, Brookforge were asked to design and specify a luxury swimming pool as part of a large contemporary development in Prestbury.
Huntsmere Projects required a detailed technical specification which Brookforge engineered to the highest standard enabling Huntsmere Projects to achieve their goals.
The pool was a shuttered reinforced concrete construction, which included a cave recessed in one wall for an automatic slatted cover. Colour changing LED’s were installed to provide the customer the opportunity to adjust the lighting to suit their moods. The pool shell fittings were constructed in polished stainless steel.
Working directly with the end user and their construction team, Brookforge designed, installed and commissioned this indoor overflow pool.
The pool was constructed using our Quadlock Pool ICF shuttering system and benefitted from a very subtle slot overflow channel hidden beneath the copings and surround tile.
The QuadlockPool system enabled one wall of the pool hall to be built directly on top of the pool wall, maximising pool surround space elswhere in the swimming pool building.
The pool featured semi-circular entry steps and submerged bench seating running along the full length of the pool.
The swimming pool and its overflow channel, plus the balance tank were waterproofed with Brookforge’s unique spray applied, flexible tanking membrane.
All the pool shell fittings were made in polished stainless steel and a high flowrate counter current unit was installed in the deep end wall.
As the pool hall had large amounts of glass windows it was critical that a correctly sized, fully ducted air handling unit was installed to ensure that the humidity, air temperature and water temperature were kept at the optimum levels.
A new Wellness centre required a deck-level hydrotherapy pool and spa area. Brookforge worked with the client to develop the concept into reality.
Brookforge provided a complete design and installation service for all pool hydraulics, features and filtration systems.
The pool is a unique shape and incorporates discrete areas for: a body massage station, foot and back massage station, 5 air bubble seats, a neck massage curtain, and 4 reclining air loungers.
The plant room was technically challenging, with an array of filtration pumps, booster pumps, jet pumps and air blowers to be installed within an extremely small room.

The project involved the creation of a commercial grade pool for private hire use. The client will be building holiday chalets adjacent to the pool buildings later this year so the pool will have high bather loads.
Brookforge worked with the client (who was also the main contractor) and an initial pool design to provide technical backup and installation assistance.
With the client currently using oil within farm buildings as a primary heating fuel, Brookforge specified and supplied the lowest running costs solution for heating and dehumidification using ASHP technology.
Brookforge installed the plant room equipment and supplied specialist materials eg. Pool grating and pool edge tiles.
