Private School Refurbishment

A complete refurbishment of an existing liner pool at a private school in Oxford. The pool needed updating with a new commercial grade liner, stainless steel skimmers and handrails.

A completely new updated automated plantroom was installed with the ability to cope with the heavy bather load.

Brookforge worked directly with the on-site maintenance team to quickly get this pool back up and running

6m Deep Submarine Testing Tank

Submarine Testing Tank

One of the more interesting projects that Brookforge has taken on recently was a Submarine Test Tank. The tank is over 6m deep and contains over 700 cubic metres of water.

As the tank is for testing new pieces of under water equipment, provisions had to be taken for the possibility of oil leaks within the pool. Brookforge developed a sluice system using custom made skimmers that would remove the top layer of water quickly with minimal wastage. Read more >>

Wellness Centre Hydrotherapy Pool

Relaxation Pool & Spa

A new Wellness centre required a deck-level hydrotherapy pool and spa area. Brookforge worked with the client to develop the concept into reality.

Brookforge provided a complete design and installation service for all pool hydraulics, features and filtration systems.

The pool is a unique shape and incorporates discrete areas for: a body massage station, foot and back massage station, 5 air bubble seats,  a neck massage curtain, and 4 reclining air loungers.

The plant room was technically challenging, with an array of filtration pumps, booster pumps, jet pumps and air blowers to be installed within an extremely small room.

Independent School 25m Competition Pool & Spa Bath

Indoor Pool & Spas

Brookforge designed, supplied and installed all pool hydraulics and equipement for a 25 metre competition pool and a huge 16 seater spa bath at Queen Ethelburga’s College, North Yorkshire.  The installation had to be of the highest quality both technically and visually.

The commercial grade installation included five Certikin1600mm diameter commercial filters, 6 high output commercial pumps, stainless steel plate heat exchangers for heating,

We installed commerical Ultraviolet primary disinfection systems backed up with full amperometric automatic chemical dosing systems,

Swiss Besgo automatic backwash valves, and six multicyclone pre-filtration units, were installed to reduce water consumption and maintenance overheads.

Seychelles Luxury Island Retreat

Luxury Infinity Pool

Brookforge worked along side Machinery & Equipment Ltd,  a Seychelles based M&E company to create 16 luxury infinity pools with adjoining but seperate spa baths.

Each pool and spa was built into the hill side next to a luxury Villa on Fregate Island a paradise retreat in the Seychelles.

Brookforge :

• Provided full design, consultancy and installation drawings for 16 unique pool and spa combinations
• Piped up each pool and spa plant room here in the UK, took photographs of each installation, stripped down and delivered to the Seychelles with full reinstallation schematics and instructions for the local installer.
• Specified and supplied all of the relevant pool and spa equipment.

Semi-Commercial Overflow Pool

The project involved the creation of a commercial grade pool for private hire use. The client will be building holiday chalets adjacent to the pool buildings later this year so the pool will have high bather loads.

Brookforge worked with the client (who was also the main contractor) and an initial pool design to provide technical backup and installation assistance.

With the client currently using oil within farm buildings as a primary heating fuel, Brookforge specified and supplied the lowest running costs solution for heating and dehumidification using ASHP technology.

Brookforge installed the plant room equipment and supplied specialist materials eg. Pool grating and pool edge tiles.

Water Park – Eastbourne

Water Slide

Brookforge initially offered consultancy on this seaside project in Eastbourne. As the project evolved it developed into the design, specification, supply and installation of all the circulation pipework, filtration systems and fully automatic water treatment for this unique seaside project.

Swimming pool water parks require a myriad of different expetise to make it successful. Brookforge can plan and build water parks throughout the UK and Europe.

Water Feature – Four Life-Size Horses

Fountain Water Feature

Brookforge were commissioned to design this stunning water feature at a school in North Yorkshire.

The Horse Water fountain required precise control of the flow rates to the 103 seperate jets. Brookforge designed and installed of the water circulation and control systems to create this dramatic feature fountain.
